MY STORY
Hi! I am Peter Chung, also known as the mind behind Roleplay Realm! A little backstory… At a young age, as a kid from South Korea, I was always fascinated by board games such as Dungeons and Dragons. In the mid-’90s, even though there were no people to play with, I always carried my 2nd edition Dungeons and Dragons handbooks and constantly read them. I was fully immersed into the world of heroes and monsters, filling my sketchbooks with noble characters and fantastical creatures. After high school, I taught myself computer graphics and worked for a publishing company until my early thirties. Later, I went to art school to upgrade my art and graphic skills.
At the time, as a husband, father, tabletop gamer, and designer, I was living the same busy life as any good husband. One day, I sat down and started to doodle designs related to Dungeons and Dragons and board games. That moment was a breath of fresh air. I knew immediately that my passion lay in creating something that tabletop gamers could enjoy and resonate with. Starting mid-2021, I dedicated my spare time to building an online space where people like me could purchase merchandise that makes them feel good.
In the spring of 2022, I was lucky enough to open my online store, Roleplay Realm. My overarching goal is to produce classic, timeless designs inspired by tabletop games. Of course, this is only possible because of my supporters, who I appreciate more than they will ever know. Therefore, I will always value great relationships and communication.
All in all, I feel incredibly lucky to even have a business where I can provide for people who love the same things I do. I plan on offering tabletop game merchandise for as long as I can and being a beacon for the people who want to enter this field just like I did.
